India’s construction materials industry is undergoing a significant shift, with customers increasingly looking beyond conventional products towards solutions that offer better performance, application-specific benefits and greater reliability. Against this backdrop, Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd. has reported strong year-on-year growth across several categories of its HomeSure portfolio during the April-June 2026 quarter.
The company’s strongest performance came from HomeSure GypEx Walbond, which recorded 157% growth during the quarter. HomeSure GypEx Gypsum Plaster followed with 97% growth, while HomeSure TileEx Tile Adhesive grew 75%. Other categories also delivered healthy growth, including Textures at 55%, HomeSure Wall Putty and HomeSure TileEx Tile Cleaner at 40% each, and HomeSure TileEx Cementitious Tile Grout at 25%.
For Walplast, the numbers represent more than category-level growth. They reflect the company’s strategy of building a diversified construction materials portfolio capable of addressing different stages of the home-building and finishing journey.
“The growth recorded across our key HomeSure categories reflects the strength of our diversified product portfolio and the trust customers place in our solutions. Within each category, we offer a comprehensive range designed to address diverse application requirements. Products such as Walbond, Gypsum Plaster, Tile Adhesives and other specialised solutions continue to witness strong demand as builders, contractors and homeowners increasingly seek reliable, quality-driven and application-specific products,” said Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director, Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd.
Over the past few years, Walplast has expanded beyond its traditional strength in wall putty to build a specialised portfolio spanning gypsum products, tile adhesives and grouts, waterproofing solutions, construction chemicals, paints and surface finishes. This expansion has been supported by investments in manufacturing, research and development, and distribution capabilities.
The company currently operates 25 manufacturing facilities and has NABL-accredited R&D laboratories. Its distribution network comprises more than 800 distributors, 6,000 dealers and 65,000 influencers, giving the company access to a wide range of customers across the construction ecosystem.
Geographically, Walplast continues to strengthen its presence in markets such as Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, while expanding into newer southern markets.
According to Mr. Mehta, the company’s next phase of growth will be driven by a combination of portfolio expansion, capacity enhancement and stronger channel partnerships.
“Our focus is now on strengthening our presence in high-potential markets, expanding manufacturing capacity in line with demand and working more closely with our channel partners. We will also continue investing in product development to address the evolving requirements of the construction industry,” he said.
With exports to more than 23 countries, Walplast is also looking to leverage its manufacturing and product development capabilities beyond the domestic market. The company plans to continue investing in new product development and capacity expansion as it seeks to capture opportunities emerging from India’s expanding construction and housing ecosystem.
Thus, Q1 growth across the HomeSure portfolio reflects Walplast’s journey towards becoming a comprehensive building materials company that addresses diverse construction, finishing and surface-protection needs.
