Asia’s Largest Exclusive Violin Experience Centre — TheBigViolinShop Opens in Chennai

Chennai, (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 21, 2025: Chennai, the City of Music, witnessed the grand opening of The Big Violin Shop, Asia’s largest and India’s first exclusive violin experience centre, at Arumbakkam. Founded by renowned violinist Abhijith P. S. Nair, the store redefines how musicians experience the violin — combining artistry, craftsmanship, and passion under one roof.

Spread across 6,000 sq. ft., the three-storey standalone building offers violins across different price ranges. The top floor is dedicated to premium and customized instruments, where customers can book private slots for an exclusive one-on-one experience with expert guidance and customization options.

After its successful first outlet in Kochi, the Chennai store marks the brand’s second milestone, with an international expansion planned in Dubai. The new outlet also stands as India’s largest standalone violin store, setting a new benchmark for musical retail experiences.

The grand launch, held on October 18, 2025, at 2/1 SBI Officers Colony, Razack Garden Main Road, Aminjikarai, was inaugurated by legends Drums Sivamani, Ganesh Rajagopalan, RajheshVaidhya, and Naveen Kumar, in the presence of Vice Admiral K. Natarajan and IAS Officer Sameeran.

Speaking at the event, Abhijith P. S. Nair said,

“TheBigViolinShop is more than a store — it’s a dream space for every violin lover. Our vision is to create an environment where musicians can explore, connect, and celebrate the beauty of this timeless instrument.”

The event drew participation from prominent musicians, friends, and media, turning the inauguration into a soulful musical celebration.
