The Constitution of India for the past 75 years has stood up as the most dynamic document, ensuring both liberty and growth of Indians. The event featured two insightful panel discussions that captivated an audience of over 400 students.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting and a warm welcome address by Dr. P. R. Srivastava, Dean. Dr. Srivastava eloquently emphasised the Constitution’s role as the guardian of justice and freedom for all citizens. He highlighted liberty as the cornerstone of growth and encouraged students to embrace constitutional values, pursue lifelong learning, and strive for excellence.

The first panel discussion focused upon the topic “Law and Prosperity: Building Economic Growth through a Robust Legal System”. The discussion emphasised improving trust in India’s arbitration system to align it more closely with leading international forums. The discussion further highlighted on India’s economic advancement and its growing appeal to global investors.

The second panel discussion focused on “The Constitution and Conducive Business Practices”. The distinguished panellists addressed the need for balancing personal freedom with public interest. They underlined the need to address judicial delays, which are essential for boosting business confidence and promoting economic growth. As businesses evolve, legal professionals must stay updated on new regulations, cross-border deals, and commercial laws while still valuing the basics of traditional legal principles.
