Tell us something about Tandy’s Creamery?

Ans) Bombays ice cream sandwich company manufacturing signature ice cream sandwiches, tubs and cups in a variety of flavours.

What lead to the inception of Tandy’s Creamery?

Ans) “Returning home from London after 5 long years, I was always very clear that I wanted to start a business in my hometown, India. Food has always been my passion and hence was keenly exploring opportunities in the F&B space.

Exploring led us to find a significant gap in the ice cream sandwich market: a product that has been associated with Mumbai for ages.

This led me to join hands with an old school friend Soham Jhaveri, to launch Tandy’s creamery just before the lockdown wherein we were manufacturing and supplying ice cream sandwiches and tubs. There was a huge void in the market as few homegrown ice cream makers were offering the product.

We started off with 6 flavours initially –

The basic ones but then moved on to more signature flavours of ours like – walnut praline, rum N raisin and salted caramel. Today, we are only 1 of 2 players in Mumbai who offer the wafer ice cream sandwich product in over 15 different flavours.

Our Future plans are to venture into the healthy ice cream market as well as other value added dairy products by setting up a larger scale factory to serve both B2C and B2B costumers.

The goal is to open a combination of standalone stores and dark outlets across the city before venturing into other tier 2 towns.

How old is the brand?

Ans) Incepted in early 2020.

What is the USP of the Brand?

Ans) We would rather compromise on margins but not quality, we provide pure preservative and adulterant-free products. Unlike others, we don’t use vegetable oil and emulsifiers and keep our product pure. Also our USP product is the wafer ice-cream sandwich in over 15 different flavours

What is the focus of the Brand?

Ans) Creating a high-quality product that’s accessible to the masses by having a low price point and reviving the ice cream sandwich concept.

How would you want to see your brand in the market?

Ans) Quality dairy products, affordable rates, and zero adulteration. Leader in the ice cream sandwich market
